Your privacy matters to us. This notice explains how Christianity.Talk collects and uses information across our site, including our AI conversation guide (“Talk”), our articles, and our “Connect with Someone” contact form.
Information We Collect Through Christianity.Talk
The information we ask for should you wish to engage with us, is your Name, Email and/or Phone Number and your Questions.
How Talk Conversations Are Processed and Stored
When you use Talk, your messages are sent to third-party AI providers — currently OpenAI and Anthropic — whose models generate the responses you receive. Your conversation is also stored on our system so the tool can function and so we can improve how it responds. Conversations are retained for 1 month. Your use of Talk is therefore also subject to the privacy terms of these AI providers.
How We Use Information
Information from Talk is used to have and support that conversation and to improve the tool; we don’t use it to follow up with you or share it with third parties — except where you have asked us to follow up (for example, by leaving your details through “Connect with Someone”), or where required by law, such as if a conversation reveals an imminent risk to someone’s safety. Information from Connect with Someone is used only to personally follow up with you, and isn’t used for marketing or shared with third parties. We may look at de-identified, aggregate patterns from Talk (like common topics or questions) to improve how it responds and to shape our articles. We don’t use this aggregate data to identify individual visitors.
Data Security
We use reasonable physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards to protect the information we collect.
Children’s Privacy
Protecting the privacy of minors matters to us. Our Terms of Service require users of Talk and Connect with Someone to be at least 18, or to have parent/guardian permission. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under 18, and no part of this site is designed to target or attract users under 18.
